End of 2014, legendary 1970's p-funk combo Funkadelic (led by the one and only George Clinton) returned in grand style with the long player "First Ya Gotta Shake The Gate", now house music maestro Louie Vega has added his magical touch to one of the albums standout tracks, namely "Ain't that funkin' kinda hard on you". The result is simply mind-boggling, taking the track straight to the dance floor yet keeping the spirit of the original alive, blending soulful house grooves with Funkadelic's original p-funk instrumentation, George Clinton's pimpadelic vocals and the slick vocal stylings of Kendrick Lamar. You can choose from multiple vocal, instrumental and dub versions (and some radio edits too), with some of the mixes featuring guest appearances from Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley on the horns, and Kafele Bandele on trumpet. For the vinyl aficionados, there is a 12" out on Vega Records featuring two of the mixes.

Ever since Steal Vybe (Chris Forman & Damon Bennett) performed a marvelous cover version of the all-time classic "Joy & pain" by Maze and Franke Beverley at the Live III event by Unified Records back in 2008 at the annual Winter Music Conference (WMC) extravaganza in Miami, we've been impatiently awaiting the release. Now this phantasmagorical remake is finally here, always staying true and respectful to the original, nevertheless transforming the song into a lively and vibrant yet soulful and uplifting four-to-the-floor gem, featuring an awe-inspiring and truly haunting rendition of the lyrics by songstress Stephanie Renee. The 'Classic Bass Mix' is an upfront dance floor weapon thanks to tantalizing melodies and relentlessly pulsating rhythms, in contrast the 'Experience the Dance Mix' is a real musical delight oozing with gentle percussive rhythms, grand jazzy keys and heavenly chords. Finally, the 'Experience the Dub' lets you enjoy the masterly orchestrations in its full glory. Quite simply, this refined re-imagination is by far the best up-tempo interpretation of this song we've ever came across...

David Morales brings back the beloved truly inimitable Red Zone sound from yesteryear with this amazing project featuring the inspiring vocals of Keith Anthony Fluitt. The 'Red Zone Mix' of "Everybody get up" is all about that phenomenal techier sound that graced so many of his remix classics in the 90's, yet with a modern twist sure to jam-pack the floor. The 'Club Mix' is a feel-good piano driven affair perfect for prime time, while the 'Momo Tek Dub' is a deep percussive workout fueled with hypnotizing atmospheric synth melodies. On remix duty are DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins who add their signature spell binding bumpin' touch, Duce Martinez who serves both a classy soul infused vocal version and a mind-blowing tech-soul dub (sort of a tribute to the Red Zone sound), and lastly Tedd Patterson who works up some serious beats science on his utterly contaminous mixes.
