Without a doubt, Peng Africa has been one of our favorite labels over the last couple of years, every time they present a new release we know we can expect nothing but top-notch soulful house music. The label certainly lives up to our expectations with their latest offering "Uthando" by Bhabha Betasweet, a superb production featuring deeply rooted vocals by Lwazi alongside sublime melodious keys and lovely guitar over deep'n'smooth yet infectious organic rhythms. To cut a long story short, "Uthando" has timeless written all over and is guaranteed to send shivers down your spine. By no means to be missed. Back in 2003, Slaag Records released the marvelous "Spirit of the dance" by Carlos Sanchez, an uplifting production featuring the sweet soulful vocals of Lorenzo Tylor alongside luxurious keys, jazzy organ and beautiful flute solos over smooth yet spell binding rhythms. CyberJamz Records bring this gem (nowadays considered a house classic) back to the dance floor, with the release featuring the original vocal version and the previously unreleased instrumental version, both mixed by Sting International (Shaun Pizzonia), as well as a stellar remix by Kenny Carpenter who takes the song to the next level on his amazing rework combining the outstanding vocal with delectable keys and thrilling rhythms.

For their 100th release, Playmore Music revive the 2005 gospel anthem "Celebrate" written by Erik Wikman (Deep Swing), David Wareing (RedSoul) and house music diva Donna Washington. The first of these massive brand new interpretations is courtesy of David Wareing who gives the song an exhilarating truly melodious feel, with smooth yet spell binding rhythms leading the way for lush keys and Donna Washington's unmistakable vocal rendition. Back in September of last year, we have been celebrating "Who's to blame", a seminal soulful production by Swiss maestro Steven Stone featuring phenomenal emotive vocals by the one and only Marc Evans. Following were massive remixes by DJ Mannix, Pasha NoFrost and Husky (one half of Random Soul), now this timeless gem returns once again in even more amazing remixes by the likes of Danny Clark, Groove Assassin and Haldo all adding their distinctive soulful touch to take the song a whole new level... Tony Records have a beauty in their hands with "Thankful", a towering soulful production having timeless written all over by highly talented producer and musician Ziggy Funk and songstress Tess Leah whose passionate vocals harmonize perfectly with the glorious keys and organic funk drenched backdrop. Neil Pierce contributes a deeper interpretation which combines Tess Leah's outstanding vocals with mesmerizing deep percussive rhythms and lush keys, and last but not least Sy Sez enters deepest grounds on his old skool inspired truly hypnotizing dub version.
