** From the Vault ** Ocha Records grace us with a fully remastered re-release of the timeless Casamena (Carlos Mena) remixes of Monday Michiru's "Don't" (originally released in 2007 through Phuture Sole Recordings). Our review from back in the day still holds true, this is a verily organic production based on a smooth yet intriguing tribal-esque groove featuring deep'n'funky bass, wonderful horn section, sublime jazz piano and inspirational vocals by Monday Michiru (who also plays the lovely flute) altogether creating a scintillating live jazz vibe. The 'Front Stoop Dub' is a vocal free take of the main remix, while the 'Basement Dub' intensifies the vibe and turns it into a stormin' deep house track by using thumpin' beats and classy strings.
