Hallex M - Oggun EPDJ/producer Hallex M returns to Yoruba Records with the stunning "Oggun EP". The title track "Oggun" is an utterly enthralling tribal-esque afro house cut laced with the glamorous vocal stylings of Carlos Mena, cool backing chants and lovely flute. Nickodemus is on remix duty, intensifying the vibe on his enticing somewhat deeper interpretation. Next we have "Lhasa" a dazzling sun drenched track oozing with beautiful piano melody and gentle yet captivating rhythms. Finally we have the laidback "Show you the world", a fantastic slow jam song featuring the sweet vocals of Gabriele Poso alongside a masterly orchestration.

Hi-Lite Scan - ComebackDouble Cheese Records present something truly special with "Comeback" by Hi-Lite Scan, a (deep) house project formed in 1998 by Frank Stertkamp and Sudad Ghadaban (Sudad G) who have been using nothing else but Atari 1040, Ensoniq EPS sampler, Kurzweil, Roland synths, a Mackie mixer and a Sony DAT recorder to create a very unique uber cool sound they nowadays are famous for. To make it short, "Comeback" which features guest vocalists Boysie White and James Wilson is a phantasmagorical truly eclectic collection of their music that sounds classic yet contemporary at the same time, without doubt (deep) house enthusiasts will love this release...
