The original is a mind-boggling acoustic rendition with Emilie Chick's gorgeous sultry vocals being accompanied by dazzling guitars, sublime jazzy keys and dulcet rhythms. Turn back the clock to summer 2002 when Distance Music released the paramount "Diamond life" produced by Louie Vega and Jay 'Sinister' Sealee which features the one-of-a-kind vocals of Julie McKnight. This seminal house music anthem returns through 4 to the Floor Records, with the release including the timeless original and Masters at Work mixes from 2002, the Richard Earnshaw and Deep Dish remixes released on Yoshitoshi Records in 2004, the Danism and Copyiright remixes from 2008 (Bargrooves Records) and finally the Kenny Summit and Nikos Diamantopoulos remixes from the 2015 "House Masters" series release.

Back in 2001, Seattle based Viva! Recordings released "Farmyard Flavours" by The Rurals on full length CD and two 12" singles, now Peng Records present volume two which includes ten songs recorded around 1995-2001 which were forgotten and only recently discovered when Andy Compton was looking through his DAT collection. The songs feature the silky smooth vocals of Marie Tweek and guest musicians Pete Morris, Charlie Hearnshaw, Gurner, Alex Pamplin and Matt Cundy alongside Andy Compton; as the music was recorded the classic analogue way the sound is very warm and organic. There is plenty of more unreleased music in Andy Compton's archive that will see the light of the day soon...
