Behind Mena Keys is George Mena, a producer and songwriter who ist best known for his keyboard skills (if you who have seen him live, you know what we talk about). With the "Fuzion EP", he presents three beautiful tracks that are all about a wonderful instrumentation that includes marvellous keys. From the irresistible and uplifting "G plays it cool" over the a bit more electronic "Ride in space" to the deeply groovin' "The blast", its all about delightful grooves for the dancefloor.

Lefthander "Give Love EP" (Guess Records CD Promo)
Lefthander aka Magnus Wallberg presents the lovely and versatile "Give Love EP" on Guess Records. "Breaking new ground" kicks off with dark synths before a jazzy, broken beat styled groove kicks in, enriched with catchy male vocals. The title track "Give love" features Anna S who provides a sensual vocal over a deeply thumpin' groove that is enriched with wicked chords. "Into space" is a deeply stormin' track featuring great harmonic keys, while the closing track "Open your eyes" is a beautifully crafted broken beat styled track topped with spacey keys and a jazzy piano.
Harold Brandon "Happiness" (Consortium Muzik Records CD Promo)
"Happiness" is the first single taken from the forthcoming "Flow thru" album by Harold Brandon. With D.H. Brandon of Alan Smithee in BlueBlackness being executive producer, "Happiness" is a laidback track built around a deeply thumpin' groove that is enriched with classic strings, great keys and an passionate vocal. Inspiring dance music at its best.
Dom Navarra featuring Monique Henry "When you fall" (Gotta Keep Faith Records CD Promo)
The latest collaboration of Domenico Navarro and Monique Henry is for both the first appereance on Gotta Keep Faith. They present "When you fall", a beautiful production by Dom Navarra featuring a sensual vocal by Monique Henry over a deep'n'mellow groove with melodic keys. Stefano Rizzuto's 'Art & Pleasure Remix' features a great jazzy saxophone and piano over a slightly intensified groove, while H&H aka Lee Hesler & Preben Hansen come up with a deeply groovin' interpretation with melodic keys and a lovely saxophone. Lastly Carl Michael takes the track to a deeper level with wicked keys accompanying the vocals.
Christian Paduraru "Letters from the edge" (Rene Hewitt Remix)(Christian Records CD Promo)
Rene Hewitt is taking on "Letters from the edge" by Christian Paduraru and reworks the track into a lovely deep house affair that features sweet percussion, great jazzy piano and spacey keys over a deeply stormin' backing groove that altogether create a resistless feeling.
JB Experience "I like it like that" (2007 Remix)(Mix2Inside Records Digital Download/12")
The 1982 Inner Life classic (released back then by the now legendary Salsoul Records) that feautres the incomparable Jocelyn Brown on lead vocal got reworked by the Mix2Inside crew who deliver a nice selection of housed-up interpretations. The 'Mr. Bords Vogue Club Remix' is a fiercely stormin' funky house affair on an old school tip, while the 'Saint Tropez Soul Mix' is on a more laidback tip featuring a jazzy piano and classic strings. Lastly the 'Intro Naked Soul Mix' is a great reprise version that starts off as a lovely keyapella before the beat kicks in.
Kwality Kontrol featuring Roman Tomé "Follow through" (Feelin' Music Records CD Promo)
Sacha Proctor aka Kwality Kontrol presents an uplifting summer anthem with "Follow through" that features a soulful vocal by Roman Tomé alongside a wonderful latin flavored, organic live instrumentaion that gives the track a glamorous feeling. Alongside the vocal and instrumental versions there is a dub that feautures a magnificent flute solo that beautifully accompanies the lovely guitar. The sound for the summer!
Paulo & Rodriguez "Oh mama" (TempoGroove Records CD Promo)
Behind Paulo & Rodriguez are Chris Gray and Joe Baron who present the wicked "Oh mama" that is destined to take dancefloors by storm. The 'Main Mix' is an uplifting affair featuring a feel good piano and great keys over a fiercely stormin' afro-funk flavored groove, with the 'Club Mix' getting a bit more energetic, nicely earranging the piano and keys. Groove Assassin provides the remix, relaxing things on his take, giving the track more of a laidback vibe that features an oustanding organ and melodic keys over a smoothly stormin' groove.
Exclusive Review: Lyfe Jennings "Let's stay together" (Alex Dimitri's South Soul Re-Touch)(CD-R)
The original version of "Lets stay togehter", a beautiful midtempo groover, can be found on Lyfe Jennings' 2006 longplayer "The phoenix". The song is taken straight to the dancefloor by Alex Dimitri who underlays it with a smoothly thumpin' groove and adds both a wicked intro and outro that includes additional keys.
Exclusive Review: Gerald Levert "Raindrops" (Jaycee InDaMix)(CD-R)
Here we have another hot reworking of an inspirational song from Gerald Levert, lifted from his 2002 longplayer "The G Spot". "Raindrops" is a beautiful midtempo track that is reworked by Jaycee who uses a percussively thumpin' groove as base for his interpretation that keeps it soulful while transforming the song into a groovy house track.
Soularis featuring Mandy Edge "Dont change" (2007 Remixes)(SunSoaked Records CD Promo)
"Don't change" was originally released at the beginning of 2004 as part of the "Soularis EP" on ConBrio Records, now right in time for the summer this great track that features a passionate vocal by Mandy Edge was revisited. Soularis provide the 'SunSoaked Remix', an uplifting and groovy reworking built around a deeply thumpin' groove that is enriched with wicked keys. Graham Lord (one half of the Audiowhores) provides two remixes under his Word of Mouth guise. His vocal takes things slightly deeper, using a propulsive yet smooth groove as base for the vocals and wonderful keys, while his dub is the choice for peaktime play with its electrofied keys over an irresistibly stompin' groove.
