Critically acclaimed Chillifunk Records was formed in 1996 by London-based DJ/production team Steven Harper aka Lofty and Dr. Bob Jones. Since 2020, the label has entered a new chapter under the direction of Lofty and Tom Davidson, continuing the original vision while introducing a new generation of artists alongside long-time friends and collaborators. Celebrating thirty years of independent soulful music, Chillifunk Records present "This Beat Ain't Broken" an absolutely awe-inspiring collection of masterly crafted jewels where jazz, soul, funk and electronic grooves come together naturally, creating a sound that is unmistakably its own. While some tracks lean towards broken beat the focus throughout is on rhythm, groove and percussion-led, funk-driven energy, all united by the musicality, warmth and soul that have always defined the Chillifunk sound.
