Beginning of the year, Frank Ryle (founder and one half of Danish/German duo Cool Million) presented the first single taken from his debut album "The adventures of Jefferson Keyes" (the title is referring to the main character from 70's TV series "Cool Million"), in May the second single "Keep the faith" followed. Fast forward to September and we finally can enjoy the album in its full glory. Back in fall of 2014, Han Litz and Andy Compton met at an ADE event in Amsterdam where Han Litz was jamming live flute. Over the following months, various conversations between the two followed, eventually they agreed to produce a full length album. Fast forward to late summer of 2016, and we can enjoy the result of their fruitful collaboration in form of the phenomenal "Use the 3rd eye" album which is loaded with not less than twelve masterly crafted and orchestrated truly chameleonic up-tempo and down-tempo songs, some of which feature the vocals talents of Asali (Kenya), Rogiers (USA) and Victor Sams (Netherlands). Without doubt, "Use the 3rd eye" takes you on a blissful musical journey you wish would never end...

Last week, renowned Brazilian DJ/producer DJ Meme graced us with his stunning re-imagination of Donna Summer's paramount "MacArthur Park", this week he gives us his breathtaking interpretation of Michael Jackson's ingenious "Don't stop 'till you gent enough" taken from the seminal 1979 "Off the wall" album produced by none other than Quincy Jones. Clocking in at a full ten minutes, the 'DJ Meme Definitive Remix' truly is enthralling, always staying respectful and true to the timeless original version, putting the incredible soul/funk infused orchestration and Michael Jackson's unrivaled vocals center stage (notably this remix features vocal takes not heard on the original release) yet giving the song a modern and fresh inspiring sound. Put differently, DJ Meme's interpretation truly deserves to be called the 'Definitive Remix'.

Italy's Toto Chiavetta returns to Yoruba Records for the release of this paramount debut artist album "Impermanence", most definitely this album is a reflection of his versatile and truly ingenious sound that defies to be categorized into a particular genre, featuring guest appearances by vocalists Kev Kruz, Tshaka Campbell, Moby Ngom and Mateo Senolia. Deep, afro, techy, funky, moody, soulful, old skool are some of the characteristics that can be attributed to this incredible release by Toto Chiavetta, undoubtedly each of the eleven featured tracks is a sure-fire dance floor weapon guaranteed to send the dancers into a frenzy. Highly recommended.
