South African DJ/producer/label owner DJ SGZ makes his debut on Adaptation Music with "Live your life", an uber soulful gem oozing with the incomparable spirited vocals of UK vocalist Julie Iwheta, splendid keys, delightful guitar and groovey rhythms. The remixes are courtesy of Tom Conrad who serves a first-class retro US garage flavored dub workout, Gruv Basement who deliver a marvelous jazzed infused interpretation, and last but not least there is the magnificent broken-beat styled rendition by Ollie Viero. Let's turn back the clock to 2004 when Phuture Sole Recordings dropped the marvelous soulful jewel "Fly" by 280 West which features a breathtaking rendition of the inspirational lyrics by Diamond Temple (supported by background vocals from Kenny Bobien, Christina Temple and Felicia Temple) alongside a masterly orchestration. In 2005 superb remixes by Blaze followed (also included was a beautiful ballad version of the song performed by Felicia Temple), fast forward to 2016 and we are being blessed with the highly anticipated Joe Claussell remixes of this timeless production. Beyond the shadow of a doubt, Joe Claussell's phenomenal interpretation best described as an epic masterpiece staying true to the original yet oozing with his distinctive beloved uplifting sound will take you on a magical musical journey you wish would never end; most definitely this awesome re-imagination will send shivers down your spine...

Beginning of last year, South Africa's Needle and Needle and Griffith Malo gave us the stellar "Without you", now Needle is back on Plastik People with the dazzling "Choose wisely". To cut right to the chase, "Choose wisely" is an outstanding deep house cut oozing with a mesmerizing underground-esque vibe through the irresistible vibrant rhythms, the illustrious keys and Russell's seductive vocals. Doug Gomez contributes a celestial afro-deep interpretation on a laidback yet utterly tantalizing tip, and finally there is the instrumental track "Enter the deep" an enticing slice of pristine jazzed-up underground goodness.

We haven't heard from Solitone Music in a while, but now they are back in grand style with the uber soulful "Original sin" by Jasper 'Drexmeister' Drexhage and vocalist Peter Jericho. To cut right to the chase, "Original sin" is sheer musical bliss and features the beautiful haunting vocals of Peter Jericho alongside illustrious keys, sweet guitars and a smooth yet thrilling organic backdrop. Dwight Brown transforms the song into an utterly tantalizing yet truly soulful afro infused dance floor weapon, and finally there the jaw-dropping down-tempo r&b/soul interpretation. There ain't no stoppin' for Cabana Recordings as they follow up the recent blazin' hot "After the rain" EP by Radiolab with yet another paramount truly eclectic release by Doug Gomez entitled "Pura Vida EP". Three tracks are included on this EP which is all about no-nonsense afro house music, with the captivating title track "Pura vida" fusing mesmerizing percussive rhythms with grand guitar, classy jazzy keys and ethereal chords. "Our thing" is on a more laidback tip, with gentle rhythms leading the way for grandiose jazzy keys and superlunary chords, and finally there is "The offering" an unbelievably hypnotizing afro-deep track oozing with utterly enticing cosmic melodies.
