Not much needs to be said and written about this paramount release by legendary producer/DJ Andy Compton and up and rising South African songstress Sisanda Myataza who impresses with her lovely truly unique voice and the glamorous rendition of the lyrics. Two equally fabulous productions are included on the EP, first up is the enthralling Detroit influenced title track "Peace love & joy" which combines the vocals with heavenly synth melodies, acidic overtones and deeply thumpin' rhythms. Second is "No denying", a South African influenced soul oozing gem using deeply rumblin' rhythms as playground for the vocals, seductive keys, sweet guitar and entrancing saxophone by James Morton. Instrumental versions of both are included, making this an essential package for any lover of deep soulful house music. |
