Tony Records let loose another soulful gem that premiered earlier this year on their much respected "Miami Uncuts 2014" compilation. "Before the night is over" by Simon 'Schoolboy' Phillips aka Soulful Session features the unmistakable vocals of songstress Lizzie Nightingale and can only be described as a soulful masterpiece - the rich organic backing together with the charming keys and enchanting vocals are sheer musical bliss. The remixes are courtesy of Ian Friday, Rightside, Redsoul (Dave Wareing) and Simon 'Schoolboy' Phillips himself, all adding their distinctive soulful/deep touch to take the song to a whole new level, making it next to impossible to pick a favorite version. By no means to be missed.

In spring of 2012, Dom Navarra and Kat Kyrris were gracing us with the wonderful "If you knew" (released through Solid Ground Recordings), now the duo returns with "Remember who we are". Not much needs to be said or written about this gem, besides "Remember who we are" is a phantasmagorical production with gentle yet thrilling deep rhythms leading the way for Kat Kyrris' beautiful emotive vocals and the seductive melodies. Highly recommended, and by no means to be missed.

In summer of last year, we reviewed the phenomenal album "Shades of green" by L.A.M.P, the duo of Andy Compton and fabulous Parisian songstress Ladybird (aka Julie Monnin). Then beginning of this year, we reviewed "Love the love" the first single taken from the album. Now the second song from the album gets the remix treatment from Andy Compton himself and from The Rurals, both taking the marvelous acoustic "Counting my blessings" to all new heights. In a nutshell, these masterly orchestrated dazzling up-tempo soul oozing four-to-the-floor interpretations are simply breathtaking and guaranteed to send shivers down your spine...
